Phew, I thought it was going to be a posthole cluster somewhere.

. . . there may be lots of postholes there, or fewer than might be expected, - I had thought of posting Woodhenge - but I would have insisted on a correct interpretation! (it’s a building).

Hi there! It's the citadel of Heuneburg, one of the important Early Celtic sites in Central Europe, which is located in Herbertingen, Baden Württemberg, Germany.

The site was founded around 15th century BCE, but the Early Celtic period is the famous one, the time between the 7th to 5th centuries BCE.
Very unusual is the about 4 m high mud-brick wall of the citadel (around 600 BCE), which has no parallels north of the Alps. It's an imitation contemporary walls in the Mediterranean region.

Congratulations you win!
And good luck with next one

The solution to When on Google earth 24 is indead the Heuneburg Hill Fort, situated on a spur overlooking the Danube in Southern Germany.

Its most prominent phase of occupation was Late Hallstatt Iron Age C6th bce, and its initial occupation was in the middle Bronze Age Urnfield period.

It also provides an excellent illustration of the first millennium bce change from post and lintel architecture to the use of load baring walls, - just to get postholes in somewhere.

And make sure you post a notice here of where it is!
