It is high time someone got this so here is a clue:
the picture has more to do with NASSER than NASA . . .

ReplyDeleteIt's Uronarti (Chesef-Iuntiu),
one of several Middle Kingdom (ca. 2055-1650 BCE) fortresses in Nubia.
Congratulations KCB - you are correct it is the Middle Kingdom fort of Uronarti, an answer that has eluded everyone else for a very long time!
ReplyDeleteIt is located on an island in Lake Nasser created by the damming of the Nile at Aswan.
