When on Google Earth 49

Welcome to When on Google Earth 49 , or how to waste your life on the Internet, hosted by Theoretical Structural Archaeology, this one is for the fans; good luck.

Since nobody got it after the first clue, and following in the footsteps of my esteemed predecessor Alun, I am going to give you a wider view. Come on, think laterally.
The Rules of When on Google Earth are as follows:

Q: What is When on Google Earth?
A: It’s a game for archaeologists, or anybody else willing to have a go!
Q: How do you play it?
A: Simple, you try to identify the site in the picture.
Q: Who wins?
A: The first person to correctly identify the site, including its major period of occupation, wins the game.
Q: What does the winner get?
A: The winner gets bragging rights and the chance to host the next When on Google Earth on his/her own blog!

  3. Well done Matt
It is the Springfield Lyons LBA enclosure, (as featured in my previous post!), I was going to give the clue: “Where Homer gets his cakes” next.

    So it's over to you . . .

  4. Thanks Geoff.
I had scoured half of England for enclosures and hillforts before I notice you had said that this one was for the fans which meant I'd probably find the answer inside your blog.
